· Clearing Entrance Exam
If you want
to take admissions to a university, you need to clear the entrance exam. Most
universities & colleges accept the admissions of the students based on their
performance in the entrance exam. Some of the most essential exams are JEE
main, NATA (National Aptitude Test for Architecture), & AAT (Architecture
Aptitude Test).
The
eligibility criteria for these exams are one needs to have a minimum score of
60% in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
· Degree
After
clearing the entrance exam one needs to take admissions in the university for
Bachelor’s in architecture (B.Arch). It
takes 5 years to complete this degree. B.Arch is a challenging degree. A lot of
assignments are given to the students of architecture. Colleges & Universities offer a
specialization master's degree in the field of architecture called M.Arch. To
admissions for M.Arch, one needs to clear the entrance exam called GATE
(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering), or CEED (Common Entrance Exam for
Design).
Job opportunities after studying architecture
There is a number of opportunities for students who have completed theirs under graduation.
One can work as an architectural designer, architectural engineer, Interior designer.
· Interior Designer: During the B.Arch one can choose to do
specialization in Interior Designing & study in detail about how to build
sustainable strategies in the field of interior designing.
· Naval Architecture: Specialization in
Naval Architecture allows one to study the design of ocean structure, marine
instrumentation, wave dynamics, etc.
· Landscape Architecture: Landscape
Architecture works on building & creating more sustainable landscapes by
integrating science, art, architecture & technology.
